Complete Pinterest Ideas

Usually on Fridays, I try to do a roundup of favorites from the number one go to place... Pinterest. But I have actually tried some of the projects so I thought I would share.

I mean, I have over 950 things pinned, so just getting these done is not even making a dent into the many recpepies or DIY projects. But it has been fun to be able to make new things.

The Light Block
I originally saw this on a blog and decided to put my craft skills to the test. I was lucky to have a friend who could cut the vinyl for me. The beauty now sits in my office.

Cream cheese Sausage Balls
I found this and just knew they would be a big hit and I was right. They were so easy to make and so yummy. I think I will add these to my go-to party stash.

Chicken, Spinach & Goat Cheese Quesadillas
One word... YUMMY! I added onions, mushrooms and did some with chicken. So easy to make and so healthy. A simple, but fun twist to our normal quesadillas.

Hawaiian Sweet Roll Ham Sandwiches
I made these for a Georgia football game and were a nice trade than the standard sandwich. I needed to throw something together for a few friends who were coming over for the game. These would be better with ham/turkey left over from Thanksgiving. But I just used regular deli meat and folded the slices. I also cheated and used a store bought poppy seed mustard instead of making my own. Still, a new go to.

Wooden Spoon
This seriously works. I have done this numerous times and for some reason a wooden spoon keeps it from running over the edge. Who would have thought??

A Challenge

The challenge- not to buy any clothes in January
MISSION Accomplished

It is official….I managed to not buy any clothes in January. I decided, along with a friend, not to purchase any new “have-to-haves” during the month of January. Yes, it is true, I made it.

It was very hard to resist all the emails about the sales in January or the new spring clothes that have come out, but I did it. But, the challenge continues. I have decided to continue this challenge into February. I have way too many clothes and I need to focus on donating instead of adding to my collection.

But... I just love challenges, so I have added two more. I have seen many people in the blog world start doing the picture a day challenge for February, so I think I will jump on board. It looks fun! I think I will do a weekly recap instead of a daily post.

The last challenge and the one that is the toughest-- is to only eat out once a week. Woah, what am I thinking. This could get a little crazy. But I honestly spend so much eating out and it is a simple way to cut back and save a little more.  And much more healthy!

So here's to many challenges in February, but I am excited!
