Enjoying Life...

Well, looks like I’m joining the world of blogs. I have found myself reading blogs on a consistent basic and decided it was time for me to launch my own. 

So you may be asking how did I choose this title?

I have actually put great thought into my blog title, and I kept coming back to this one in particular. In February, one of my sweet friends suggested it was time for me to get rid of my Winter welcome mat. Now, too my defense, it had snowflakes on it and as you know we all had just survived the January snow storm.  I made it my mission that weekend to find a new welcome mat. I began my hunt for just the right one. I wanted something springy and something none of my other neighbors had. From being a communications major, I know that first impressions are so important. I wanted this not to be any ‘ole welcome mat, but one that says, “come in and stay a while.”

I was disappointed in my selections at the first store; everything seemed so dark and uninviting. I decided to pass and move to the next. I walked in and headed straight to the welcome mats and saw exactly want I was looking for… a very brightly colored mat that said, “Enjoy Life!” 

What struck me about this mat was how different it was. Not your typical welcome message, but it has quickly become a reminder to just “Enjoy Life.”

I have embarked on this journey of life after college…aka the real world. I have found myself just sitting back and thinking about the events that have led me to where I am today. Sure, I have spent many days stressing and worrying about what my “real world” life would look like. I have tried to put together the life I have always dreamed, but kept failing, because it was my plan and not God’s.  I was trying to “Enjoy Life” on my own and that wasn’t working out too much.  God had a bigger plan for me.  

So hop along and see how God unfolds this path. I do know I will be “Enjoying Life” as it is written.
